Deobfuscation Survey

(Estimated time: 5-10 minutes) Thank you for participating. We are evaluating a machine learning model’s ability to predict identifiers (variable names, etc.) in obfuscated Java code from APKs.

You will review 15 Java code snippets in three versions: Ground Truth, Obfuscated, and Predicted. Your task is to rate how meaningful the predicted identifiers are in context. Note that a prediction can sometimes be clearer than the original name; please rate for clarity rather than just a direct match to the ground truth.

Please submit your answers by April 15.

NB: the website is not optimized for mobile so it’s best that you open it on your computer. But it will still work anyways.
